Pitchers to stream on Wednesday
-
Most of the rotations are starting their second time through, so only 10 of the 30 probable starters are below the 50% rostership level to be featured as a solid streamer. Shane Smith makes the cut even though he was the Opening Day starter for the Chicago White Sox. He struggled against the Milwaukee Brewers and is aiming to rebound on the road against the Miami Marlins. The hosts are a young team on the rise, but the lineup is still developing and vulnerable. Look for Smith to bounce back in his second outing.
-
Las year as a rookie, Kansas City Royals lefty Noah Cameron benefited from a .241 BABIP and 84.0% left-on-base percentage. However, his ERA estimators were a bit better than average, landing him in streaming territory. The renovations to Kauffman Stadium are designed to yield more homers, but Cameron will face a Minnesota Twins lineup not equipped to fully take advantage. Cameron’s low walk rate is enough to trust him on a slate lacking more robust streaming options.
Pitchers to avoid on Wednesday
-
In his 2026 debut, Cleveland Guardians right hander Gavin Williams issued six walks in five frames against the Seattle Mariners, though he also fanned seven. After the game, Williams said he was planting his foot too quickly, throwing off his delivery. While it is encouraging that he identified the issue, trusting he can fix it on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers is a risk.
