Tyson Pedro competed in MMA for the first time in over two years last night.
It was announced last December that Pedro would be stepping back inside the cage with the PFL following a brief stint in boxing.
His debut for his new home came on April 16 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he was part of one of three main card matchups.
On a night that featured spectacular finishes from the likes of Jay-Jay Wilson, the former UFC light heavyweight came close to producing one of his own.

Tyson Pedro nearly stopped Dovlet Yagshimuradov before suffering PFL debut loss
Tyson Pedro nearly pulled off a remarkable comeback on Thursday night in Belfast when making his return to MMA.
He faced Dovlet Yagshimuradov, who stopped Impa Kasanganay in under a minute back in 2024 to win the PFL’s light heavyweight tournament.
The Aussie dropped his opponent multiple times in the third round but Yagshimuradov somehow managed to survive until the final bell, where he won a unanimous decision.

Pedro’s previous MMA fight saw him announce his retirement after being beaten by Vitor Petrino at the UFC Apex in March of 2024.
He then moved to boxing where he was able to stop 15-0 prospect Taimoor Khan to win the inaugural WBC Silver International bridgerweight title.
Pedro admitted last year that he wasn’t sure boxing was for him and that he didn’t understand the complexities of it.
