Another week has come and gone, and it is time to look ahead to the upcoming slate of Major League Baseball action and dive into the fantasy baseball streaming pitchers. I’m here every week to give you suggestions on which pitchers you should stream to win your matchups.
I will be using FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers rankings to help determine my picks. Sync your league to find your own high-potential starters on the waiver wire.
Keep in mind that starters can get off schedule, and some projected starters may be pushed back due to injuries or weather.
First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:

This was a great week. Last week’s selections left plenty of room for strikeouts, but I am thrilled with five quality starts off the waiver wire.
The only big mistake of last week was getting a little too excited about Payton Tolle and neglecting that rookies take time to become consistent. Let’s aim for some reliable arms this week.
Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Week 6
Monday, May 4
Nick Martinez (SP – TBR) vs. TOR | 23% Rostered
Nick Martinez is on a roll. The veteran starter has a glimmering 1.70 ERA on the season in six starts (37 innings). His xERA is 3.86, so some regression is likely. But I like Martinez enough against the Blue Jays, who rank just about average with a team OPS of .703.
One of Martinez’s best talents this season has been going deep into ball games. He has been very efficient, with a very low 6.1% walk rate. He has pitched seven or more innings in his two most recent starts. Martinez has been pitching to contact, and he has done a great job.
Like any pitch-to-contact hitter, Martinez does not have the ceiling of a high-strikeout pitcher. But Martinez’s performance so far this season gives him a high enough floor to be considered for Monday.

Tuesday, May 5
Luis Severino (SP – ATH) @PHI | 6% Rostered
Luis Severino is a great pitcher to stream when he is not playing in his hitter-friendly home ballpark. The righty has an ERA of 4.91 at home compared to an ERA of 4.04 on the road this season. He had an ERA of 6.01 at home compared to an ERA of 3.02 on the road in 2025. That is why Severino against the Phillies is an enticing matchup.
The 14-20 Phillies have been struggling this season. They have the fourth-worst OPS in the league (.671) and have scored the fifth-fewest amount of runs. I like the 32-year-old, whose 9.4 K/9 ratio is his best since 2022, against the Phillies.

Wednesday, May 6
Noah Schultz (SP – CWS) @LAA | 21% Rostered
As long as Noah Schultz stays this low-rostered, I’ll keep mentioning him. As I said last week, the towering 6-foot-10 lefty has fascinating potential.
The 22-year-old has 20 strikeouts in 21.1 innings so far, and I would not be surprised to see his strikeouts increase as he continues to settle in. His mid-90s fastball pairs with a disgusting sweeper to strike out batters. Hitters are batting only .091 against his sinker, a great contact pitch. Schultz also commands a solid change-up and cutter.
The Angels lead the Majors with 342 strikeouts. I love Schultz against the 13-21 Angels.

Thursday, May 7
Max Meyer (SP – MIA) vs. BAL | 18% Rostered
Max Meyer is finally figuring it out. I love his strikeout potential against the Orioles, who have the seventh-most strikeouts in the league.
The 27-year-old righty is putting together the best season of his career. Injuries have marred him for years, but things are looking up now that he is healthy. He has a 2.68 ERA (3.91 xERA) and a 1.027 WHIP in 37 innings. He has a 29.6% whiff rate and a 9.7 K/9 ratio. He has 20 strikeouts in his last three starts (17.1 innings) and has allowed only two runs.
Meyer’s hot streak looks legit. Is he this good? Not quite. But he has great movement on his slider and sweeper that support his strikeout potential, including a 43.5% whiff rate on his slider.
The former top prospect is finding his game. I trust him against the Orioles.

Friday, May 8
Kyle Harrison (SP – MIL) vs. NYY | 27% Rostered
Kyle Harrison may not be available in your league, but grab him if he is, even against the Yankees.
It sounds crazy to say any pitcher should be streamed against the 23-11 Yankees. Obviously, I would prefer Harrison to face a bad team. But Harrison is on a hot streak, with 17 strikeouts in 12 innings, while allowing only one run. He has looked amazing this season, outside of two starts marred by knee and wrist soreness.
The 24-year-old lefty is fueled by a four-seamer that has generated 22 strikeouts with an impressive 29.8% whiff rate. Harrison also relies on a slurve and a change-up. He has a legit pitch mix that’s working in the Majors.
The Yankees are a tough team, but Harrison is worth consideration, both as a streamer and a long-term hold.

Saturday, May 9
Shane Baz (SP – BAL) vs. ATH | 26% Rostered
Shane Baz is having a lackluster season, so I do not blame you if you want to stream someone else. Saturday is a day without great streamers.
If you are feeling brave, Baz is coming off the best start of his season. He went 5.2 innings, allowing one run and striking out six Astros. His control of the strike zone looked the best it has all year.
Baz is a high-floor, high-ceiling option. He has had some pretty bad starts, but has not had one this season. Baz has allowed four runs three times this season, but has never allowed more than that.
The Orioles hurler has a 4.50 ERA (4.11 xERA) on the season and is lacking the strikeout potential that made him a beloved fantasy prospect years ago. Baz flashed that potential against the Astros, and he is a solid option against the Athletics, whose 293 team strikeouts are above league average.
Alternative: Janson Junk (SP – MIA) vs. WSH | 3% Rostered
Sunday, May 10
Tomoyuki Sugano (SP – COL) @PHI | 5% Rostered
Tomoyuki Sugano should be a good pitcher to preserve ratios on Sunday. He has a low-90s fastball and has a 6.0 K/9 ratio, but he pitches to contact. Pitching to contact will not always work at Coors Field, but it can find better results at lower altitudes.
Sugano has posted strong results so far, with a 2.84 ERA over 31.2 innings. He has been walking batters only 6.9% of the time. He has been elite outside of his start against the Dodgers, where he allowed five runs in four innings.
I like Sugano against the Phillies, who have the second-lowest batting average in baseball. I am a little nervous because Sugano does not strike out many batters, but he is a solid option to close out the week.
