To achieve this, the game is built on an all-new Frostbite Physics Engine for the first time in franchise history. This engine supports real-time contact and in-fight physics, a new ragdoll system and expanded neck and spine reactions to strikes.
These changes are supported by a multi-layered deformation system, Sapien Skeleton Movement and detailed face and muscle ripple effects. Real-time physics calculations are also applied to each collision giving strikes more visible impact.
The update also adds new hit reactions and falls, including face deformation effects, physics-based block reactions, over 50 new hit reactions and multi-directional knockdown animations.
UFC 6 introduces intelligent contact windows where strikes land as soon as an opponent enters range. This makes striking exchanges more responsive and visually authentic. Strikes can also push through opponents, bounce or deflect.
