Another week has come and gone, and it is time to look ahead to the upcoming slate of Major League Baseball action and dive into the fantasy baseball streaming pitchers. I’m here every week to give you suggestions on which pitchers you should stream to win your matchups.
I will be using FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers rankings to help determine my picks. Sync your league to find your own high-potential starters on the waiver wire.
Keep in mind that starters can get off schedule, and some projected starters may be pushed back due to injuries or weather.
First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:
- Michael McGreevy (SP – STL) vs. TEX: 6.0 Innings, 1 Strikeout, 2 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 2 Walks (Loss)
- Trevor McDonald (SP, RP – SFG) @ MIL: 5.0 Innings, 4 Strikeouts, 3 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 3 Walks (Loss)
- Troy Melton (SP, RP – DET) @ TBR: 8.0 Innings, 5 Strikeouts, 2 Earned Runs, 4 Hits, 2 Walks (Win)
- Jared Jones (SP – PIT) @ HOU: 5.0 Innings, 4 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 4 Hits, 2 Walks (Win)
- Roki Sasaki (SP – LAD) vs. LAA: 7.0 Innings, 10 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 2 Hits, 2 Walks (No Decision)
- Zebby Matthews (SP – MIN) vs. KCR: 7.0 Innings, 2 Strikeouts, 2 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 4 Walks (Win)
- Shane Baz (SP – BAL) @ TOR: TBD
Total: 38.0 Innings, 26 Strikeouts, 9 Earned Runs, 25 Hits, 15 Walks (3-2)
We did great last week. Our pitchers from last week earned a 2.13 ERA and accumulated four quality starts. Shane Baz is yet to face the Blue Jays, but so far, so good.
Roki Sasaki had an excellent start and looks ready to stick around on fantasy rosters. The only downside was the walks, but that’s fine with me as long as pitchers aren’t getting blown up. Let’s aim for even more of this consistency next week.
Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Week 11
Monday, June 8
Walker Buehler (SP – SDP) vs. CIN | 3% Rostered
Unfortunately, Monday starts off with my least favorite streamer pick of the week. I do not think Walker Buehler will dominate the Reds, but he should have a solid performance.
Since the beginning of May, Buehler has an ERA of 3.86 and 25 strikeouts in 32.2 innings. He has lowered his season ERA to 4.53 and appears to be settling in, despite not being the elite arm he once was.
Most importantly, the 31-year-old possesses an excellent 0.6 HR/9 rate this season. The Reds have the fourth-worst team batting average in baseball (.230). This is a nice combination for Buehler, as the Reds have been getting a lot of their runs from power, something Buehler has been limiting.
Buehler is a high-floor, low-ceiling streamer against the Reds.
Alternative: Grayson Rodriguez (SP – LAA) vs. HOU | 4% Rostered
Tuesday, June 9
J.T. Ginn (SP – ATH) vs. MIL | 23% Rostered
There is a lot to like about J.T. Ginn. Stream him and consider holding him if he is still available.
The 27-year-old has been elite for the Athletics this season. He has a 2.74 ERA (3.76 xERA) in 65.2 innings with 60 strikeouts. His xERA suggests some regression, but Ginn remains a great option.
Ginn’s success especially comes through his great sinker and change-up. Ginn’s sinker is his primary pitch and has been great at limiting damage. Batters are hitting .143 (.141 xBA) on his change-up, and the pitch has a 36.1% whiff rate.
The Brewers have a just-about-average team OPS of .711. This streaming recommendation is less matchup-based and more based on trusting Ginn.
Alternative: Dustin May (SP – STL) @NYM | 8% Rostered
Wednesday, June 10
Ryne Nelson (SP – ARI) @MIA | 11% Rostered
If you read articles like this a lot, then no doubt you have heard that Ryne Nelson has a good fastball. He throws his fastball over half of the time, and batters are hitting only .213 against it with a 21.1% whiff rate. Nelson also frequently uses a slider with a 27.5% whiff rate alongside a cutter, curveball and sinker.
The 28-year-old is carrying great momentum into this matchup. He has an ERA of 2.89 and 31 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. Five of Nelson’s last six starts have been quality starts.
The Marlins have a solid team OPS of .699. They are actually slightly better at hitting lefties than righties this season, which is a benefit to the right-handed Nelson.
Alternative: Peter Lambert (SP – HOU) @LAA | 10% Rostered
Thursday, June 11
Christian Scott (SP – NYM) vs. STL | 8% Rostered
Christian Scott has been an intriguing streaming option since returning to the Majors for the first time in 2024. He has thrown 36 innings to a 2.50 ERA (4.11 xERA), with 41 strikeouts.
Scott has certainly been getting lucky. But he has the strikeout potential that allows him to be a great fantasy pitcher in points formats, even if he allows some runs (think Ryan Weathers).
I love the 26-year-old’s sweeper. The righty throws it about a quarter of the time, and it has generated a 32.9% whiff rate so far with a .173 xBA. Scott has plenty of strikeout upside against the Cardinals, even though they are a team with good plate discipline.
Alternative: Kumar Rocker (SP – TEX) @KCR | 4% Rostered

Friday, June 12
Jack Leiter (SP – TEX) @BOS | 22% Rostered
The 26-year-old Jack Leiter is having a rough season. His ERA (4.69) and WHIP (1.37) have certainly not been ideal. On the bright side, his 9.6 K/9 ratio has been solid.
Leiter has been getting strikeouts throughout his balanced arsenal. His four-seamer, change-up, slider, cutter and curveball are all strikeout pitches, especially his slider. I expect his results to improve over time with a pitch arsenal like this.
Leiter is probably not a pitcher you want to hold all year. But he is facing the Red Sox, who have the 10th-lowest team OPS in baseball (.698). The righty has great strikeout potential against Boston and has a solid chance to secure a win.
Alternative: Zack Littell (SP – WSH) vs. SEA | 6% Rostered
Saturday, June 13
Gage Jump (SP – ATH) vs. COL | 12% Rostered
Gage Jump is an exciting rookie. I love him in his matchup against the Rockies, but please wait to see how he does against the Astros first before picking him up.
Jump is a 23-year-old lefty with a beautiful fastball. His fastball has movement and high-90s velocity, paired with a slider, changeup, curveball and sweeper.
Jump’s rookie debut did not go as planned. He allowed four runs over five innings. He bounced back in his second start, though, allowing one run over seven innings against the Cubs.
Needless to say, it is always salivating to see a pitcher go against the Rockies away from home. I love Jump this weekend, as long as he does well in his start against the Astros.
Alternative: Trevor McDonald (SP – SFG) vs. CHC | 8% Rostered
Sunday, June 14
Grant Holmes (SP – ATL) @NYM | 12% Rostered
Grant Holmes is a high-floor, low-ceiling option to close out the week.
Holmes has been pretty average this season. He has a 3.86 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP, with an 8.1 K/9 ratio. Look for Holmes to soar far above average against the Mets, who have a team OPS of .653, the second-worst in baseball.
The 30-year-old righty has been a very safe pitcher so far. He has only allowed more than three runs once in 12 starts. Sure, baseball is weird, but it is hard to say that Holmes will blow up against the 28-36 Mets.
Alternative: Stephen Kolek (SP – KCR) vs. HOU| 15% Rostered
