Arman Tsarukyan has changed his tune on Justin Gaethje after he rejected his post-fight gift.
Last weekend, Justin Gaethje pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the sport’s history when he finished Ilia Topuria in round four of their UFC Freedom 250 main event.
For his sensational win on the White House lawn, ‘The Highlight’ earned an additional $825,000 after winning the Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night bonuses, which were hiked up for the historic night.
That wasn’t the only bonus Gaethje could’ve been the recipient of as Arman Tsarukyan told him he was going to send him a present to mark his historic win.
Tsarukyan upset with Gaethje for rejecting his present
The lightweight number one contender wagered a huge $1 million bet on Gaethje to pull off the upset, and won $5.7 million for his troubles.
In a mark of appreciation for winning him a small fortune, Tsarukyan claimed that he was going to buy Gaethje a truck of his choice.
Despite that, during a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan experience, ‘The Highlight’ stated that he isn’t accepting any gifts from Tsarukyan.
“I’m not taking this f—— truck from Arman, there’s absolutely no way I would take a truck (from him). He said he’s gonna buy me a truck but I would never (accept it). No, I’m not taking a truck from him. I would have to ride around in a truck that a dude brought me,” Gaethje said.
The champion’s comments haven’t sat well with ‘Ahalkalakets’ who has responded by calling him an ‘a——‘ for rejecting his gesture.
“Justin is saying, ‘I’m not gonna take the car’, I said, ‘F— it, I’m not gonna give it to him’, if he doesn’t want it he doesn’t deserve it,” Tsarukyan said in a recent live stream with Nina Drama.
“Yesterday I watched the video and I was shocked, like, what the f—? Like, if you don’t want it f— you. They already gave me the car so I’ve got to give it away but for sure, I’m gonna give it to one of my followers (now),” Tsarukyan continued.
The two are seemingly on a collision course to fight each other next with the Armenian having been the deserved number one contender for some time now.
“I’m gonna f— him up in the fight now, I can’t wait. If you’re saying you don’t want my truck and you’re not gonna drive it, f— you. Say thank you instead of being rude, like what the f—? Why are you being such an a——? F—— b—-, I can’t wait to whoop your ass.”
