Michael Bisping rejects Eddie Hearn’s back-and-forth debate offer but counters with offer

Michael Bisping wants to settle his disagreement with Eddie Hearn like men.

UFC legend Michael Bisping has always been an avid supporter and friend of current heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall.

Despite that, his attitude towards his compatriot seemingly changed not long ago when he criticized Aspinall for the fact that he still hasn’t returned to action following his eye injury.

That drew the attention of Aspinall’s new manager, Eddie Hearn, who called Bisping a ‘company man’ and called him out for his comments.

In his response to Bisping, the longtime boxing promoter called the former UFC middleweight champion out for a live debate regarding his comments and Aspinall’s situation.

That, though, isn’t something Bisping is willing to do, but he has told Hearn that he would sit down with him ‘man to man’ to have a conversation away from the cameras.

“I’m not having a debate online, but I’m very happy next time I’m in London, to sit down face to face, man to man, and have a conversation like that. Okay, Eddie? Let’s see if he keeps the same energy,” Bisping said in a recent episode of the Believe You Me Podcast.

Hearn said that Bisping ‘should be ashamed of himself’ for his comments considering he was once a fighter himself.

“It’s absolute horse s— what Hearn is saying. And he wants to have a debate? Eddie, all you little s—- out there, I don’t want you to get it twisted: I care about fighters.

“We care deeply about this sport, and this is why we are commentators. There’s nothing wrong with that,” he continued.

Bisping isn’t the only one who has an ongoing feud with the British boxing promoter.

UFC boss Dana White has been locked into a feud with the 47-year-old since the beginning of the year, with it showing no signs of slowing down.

Turki Alalshikh offered both promoters the chance to bring their feud to an end with ‘peace talks’, however, White shut the potential of that down earlier this week.
