Aldrich Potgieter returns to defend his breakthrough PGA Tour win at the 2026 Rocket Classic. Detroit Golf Club underwent a significant restoration effort this offseason and now plays as a par 70, measuring 7.328 yards.

There is a complete absence of water hazards this year. However, more bunkers have been strategically added on this Donald Ross design, while all greens are now restored bentgrass, measuring 12.5 feet via Stimpmeter.

The most expensive golfers in the field this week include Cameron Young and Xander Schauffele, priced above $10K on DraftKings. Chris Gotterup and Wyndham Clark each have multiple wins this season, making them betting favorites and subsequent high-salary prospects at Detroit Golf Club this week.

My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 3M Open) had minimal success. Emiliano Grillo was a huge boost in lineups, delivering a T7 finish from his Tier 3 salary. However, three of four golfers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 missed the cut, while Kurt Kitayama (T24) and Keith Mitchell (T44) didn’t return Tier 1 value at TPC Twin Cities.

With only two events left before the FedExCup Playoffs tee off, let’s aim for a more productive outing. I’ve found six golfers to target for high-value lineup building at the 2026 Rocket Classic.

PGA DFS: Top Golfers (Rocket Classic)

    DraftKings Salary: $50,000

    TIER 1

    Golfer

    DK $

    Si Woo Kim $9,600
    Wyndham Clark $9,300

Si Woo Kim, despite failing to secure an outright win, is having a career year in 2026. The South Korean native has 10 top 10 finishes, while ranked third in SG: Approach, 20th in SG: Off-the-Tee, and seventh for driving accuracy and putting average.

Surprisingly, Kim has yet to post better than a T14 finish at Detroit Golf Club. He’s coming off consecutive top 10 finishes overseas at the Scottish Open and Open Championship. Kim is well-rested and a decent value in Tier 1.

I’ll continue to back Wyndham Clark due to his elite putting and approach play. He’s logged multiple wins this season, including his second U.S. Open title, while sitting eighth in total strokes gained in 2026.

Clark has a pair of top 20 finishes, including a top 10, in four trips to the Rocket Classic. Let’s prioritize him in our lineups as a high-floor Tier 1 prospect.

    DK $

    Akshay Bhatia $8,400
    Denny McCarthy $7,500

Akshay Bhatia has been flying under the radar a bit since his playoff win at The Players Championship in March. The lefty has only played two events in the last month, posting a T5 at the Travelers Championship, while missing the cut at The Open Championship.

Bhatia nearly won the 2024 Rocket Classic. In 2026, he’s ranked 11th in total strokes gained, while leading the Tour in SG: Putting. Bhatia is second in sand save rate and top-12 for par 4 scoring and birdie average.

I’m targeting another elite golfer in Tier 2 by backing Denny McCarthy. He’s coming off a season-best T3 finish at the 3M Open, while sitting 14th in SG: Putting.

McCarthy is also 13th in scrambling, so his short game should translate well on the new greens at Detroit Golf Club. Sitting 81st in the FedExCup, he’ll need another strong effort to close in on the FedExCup Playoffs, giving McCarthy plenty of motivation at a course that historically yields plenty of birdies.

    TIER 3

    Golfer

    DK $

    Jackson Suber $7,500
    Emiliano Grillo $7,200

Jackson Suber has elevated his play in 2026. The 26-year-old American has three top 10 finishes, including two top 5s, although we’re getting a discount following his missed cut at the 3M Open last week. During Suber’s Rocket Classic debut in 2025, he logged a T6 finish, shooting 66-65-69-68.

Suber ranks 19th in SG: Approach, seventh for greens in regulation (70.6%) and fourth in proximity. He’s also fourth on 200+ yard approach shots, leading to a top-30 mark in scoring average (69.6) this year.

Emiliano Grillo deserves another place in our lineups as a Tier 3 anchor at Detroit Golf Club. Historically, the Argentinian has not played as well at this event compared to the 3M Open.

There’s still plenty to like about Grillo. He’s ranked ninth in driving accuracy and 35th in proximity. Grillo needs to put his foot on the gas at 103rd in the FedExCup. He’s posted three finishes inside the top 25 across his last four events, including a T7 at TPC Twin Cities on Sunday.
