The scoreboard will get a workout tonight as the Detroit Lions, fresh off a 52-point Week 2 outing, travel to Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson and the high-octane Baltimore Ravens.
The total has hit 53.5, making it the highest O/U of any game so far in 2025. That will shade my Lions vs. Ravens predictions, as my NFL picks for September 22 believe Jackson will stuff the stat sheet.

Lions vs Ravens Best bet: Lamar Jackson longest completion Over 38.5 yards (-115)
The Baltimore Ravens have the most explosive offense in football, ranking No. 1 in explosive play rate at 17.3%.
That’s bad news for a Detroit Lions defense giving up big plays at an alarming rate — 28th in explosive play rate allowed (13%). While Baltimore’s ground game stumbled last week against Cleveland, Lamar Jackson remains fully capable of chunk gains through the air.
Jackson has hit the Over on his longest completion prop in eight of his last 10 games (including playoffs), and in seven of those, he connected on passes of 40+ yards. Zay Flowers has emerged as a legit top-10 WR, and DeAndre Hopkins is making his deep looks count with recent gains of 29 and 41 yards.
Detroit has to respect the run, but Baltimore’s play-action game is elite — ranking No. 1 in EPA/play — while the Lions sit just 19th defending play action. That’s a clear edge for Jackson to keep attacking vertically.
This game carries the highest total on the Week 3 slate, and it sets up as a shootout. The last time these teams met in 2023, Jackson torched the Lions for 357 yards and three touchdowns, completing six passes of 20+ yards, including strikes of 46 and 80 yards.
The deep shots will be there again on MNF.
Lions vs Ravens MNF same-game parlay
Let’s go touchdown-heavy with the Monday Night SGPs. The most popular one on bet365 includes Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs, Flowers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown—currently listed at +875. But I prefer a tighter, higher-upside three-leg version.
Jackson has been pass-heavy in the red zone, which boosts his scramble TD equity. I’d much rather back Jackson at +130 than Henry at -250, who barely moves the needle in a parlay.
Flowers is locked in with over a 40% target share—one of just three WRs in the league hitting that mark. He stays in the mix.
To round it out, I’m adding Jameson Williams. He’s the clear WR2 in Detroit now, running 100% of routes in Week 2 and coming off a 108-yard game on just two catches.
With multiple Ravens defensive starters questionable, Jamo has the speed to take one to the house—just like Keon Coleman did in Week 1 against this secondary.

David Montgomery has been the one getting the valuable goal-line work — three carries inside the 5-yard line compared to zero for Gibbs.
At +115, Montgomery looks like the better value between the Detroit backs.
Tylan Wallace also stands out at +550. He’s running the third-most routes among Ravens WRs, with Baltimore using 3-WR sets around 50% of the time.
Last week, he played 50% of snaps with a 47% route share — both increases — and turned that into two catches and a TD.
Baltimore’s lower-end receivers combined for four TDs last week, as the team showed little interest in running near the goal line.

Lions vs Ravens moneyline prediction
The Ravens should enter Week 3 at 2-0 SU but got cute in Week 1 and showed a defense that couldn’t get off the field. They also played a bad Cleveland offense last week so the change from Joe Flacco to Jared Goff will be severe.
I think Detroit can hang around this game and has the offense that can go toe-to-toe with Lamar and the Ravens. Having the Lions at +185 isn’t the worst bet of the week.
Lions vs Ravens spread prediction
This opened Baltimore -5.5 and has moved to -4.5. Detroit rebounded nicely in Week 2 and gained some confidence in the market.
Baltimore ranks first at in predictable at 7.9 points better than an average team on a neutral field with Detroit sitting fifth at 4.7.
THE BLITZ has this game at Baltimore -3.31. The backdoor is wide open for the Lions in this game.
Lions vs Ravens Over/Under prediction
This total opened at 51 and has hit as high as 53. It’s the highest total of the season.
It’s a giant total but the Ravens have scored 40+ in each game this year and the Lions bounced back in Week 1 vs the best defense in football to hang a 52-pack vs. the Bears.
Neither defense has impressed either this season and both teams could score 25+ on Monday night.

Temperatures at M&T Bank Stadium are expected to be mild and comfortable, starting in the mid-70s°F early evening, dropping into the upper 60s by 9:00 pm, and into the mid-60s later in the night. Skies will be mostly sunny to start, gradually becoming partly cloudy after sunset. There’s no indication of rain, strong winds, or other major weather disturbances. Humidity should be tolerable, so dew and slick field conditions are unlikely.
From a gameplay standpoint, these conditions favor a clean and fast game: offensive lines should have good footing, and receivers won’t have to contend with slick turf or heavy moisture. Passing games, especially timing routes and deep balls, could be sharper than in more adverse weather. Cooling temperatures later in the game might also favor teams with strong running games or depth, as players’ grip and stamina might tighten a bit. All in all, the weather looks like it will be more of a help than a hindrance for both squads.
