Teremoana stopped Curtis Harper inside the opening round in Orlando, extending his unbeaten record with another emphatic heavyweight finish.

The heavyweight wasted little time asserting himself, overwhelming Harper and forcing a stoppage at 2:59 of the first round.

It was brief, but it told you plenty. Teremoana brought intent from the opening bell and never gave Harper a chance to settle.

    First-Round Finish

Against a seasoned opponent in Harper, Teremoana showed no hesitation, taking control early and leaving no doubt about the outcome.

The finish keeps his unbeaten run intact and adds another stoppage to a record that continues to build momentum.

Teremoana is not looking to be brought along slowly. He is getting his work done quickly and moving on.

Harper, who is known for walking out of his contest with Efe Ajagba after just one second, has now suffered a first-round stoppage for the third time in his career.

Only Zhilei Zhang, along with an early defeat on his professional debut, had previously taken him out that quickly.

There was also a strange edge to the pre-fight build-up. At the weigh-in, Harper was seen smelling Teremoana’s hair before telling him, “Let’s have some fun in there.”

The exchange appeared to change the mood, with Teremoana sharpening up instantly as Harper then walked away from a handshake.

Teremoana will now need stronger opposition as his record continues to build.

The early finish keeps his momentum intact, but tougher tests will now determine how far he can go in the heavyweight division.

    Undercard Results

Elsewhere on the card, Corey Marksman defeated Jaycob Gomez via unanimous decision over ten rounds, with scores of 98-92 twice and 96-94.

Omari Jones continued his development with a shutout unanimous decision win over Christian Gomez, all three judges scoring the bout 80-72.
