Colby Covington, a former teammate turned rival of Dustin Poirier, has taken another shot at ‘The Diamond’ after his recent arrest.
Poirier was arrested at the airport for alleged public drunkenness. The former interim UFC lightweight champion was seen challenging an airport employee after he was removed from a flight. He told the worker, “I’ll fight you right now.” The employee threatened to use a taser on Poirier. He was eventually put into handcuffs without a physical confrontation.
After the arrest, Covington took aim at Poirier, which wasn’t a surprise. Now, he’s continued his attack in a way to promote his upcoming wrestling match at RAF.
“I’ve been getting a lot of feedback about my take on the Dustin Poirier situation. I hear you guys, and I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that Dustin is wrestling with personal demons and his intrusive racist thoughts. And I’ll be wrestling Arman Tsarukyan at Real American Freestyle live from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 18, only on FOX Nation,” Covington said on Instagram.
Covington taking shots at Poirier isn’t a surprise, as the two did not see eye-to-eye while ‘Chaos’ was at ATT. Covington has called him out for a fight numerous times, but it never came to fruition.

After Dustin Poirier’s arrest, Colby Covington was quick to take a shot at him.
Covington took to social media and ripped Poirier for being drunk in public on Father’s Day. As ‘The Diamond’ was kicked off his fight.
“Nothing says role model and family man like being arrested for public intoxication at 37 years old at 6:38 pm… on Father’s Day. Hit me up when you get out the clink @dustinPoirier and I’ll send some RAB Zero to the father of the year,” Covington wrote.
Covington is continuing to take shots at Poirier, and it likely won’t end anytime soon.
