Despite the Rams’ Week 1 from hell, they’re still trading at 12% to win it all. I’m not buying it.

Before the 2025 NFL season, I picked the Los Angeles Rams to win Super Bowl LX at 4.8%. I watched in awe as my position became stronger after each week, with Matthew Stafford beating out my beloved Drake Maye for MVP.

Then I came crashing back to earth when the Rams got smoked by the Seahawks in the NFC title game.

As the old saying goes: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me,”.

After a disastrous Week 1 down under, the Rams’ Super Bowl odds now sit at 12%, and I’m staying as far away as possible.

    🏆 2027 Super Bowl odds

Once at 16%, the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl odds have slipped following a belt-to-ass style beatdown by the rival San Francisco 49ers in Australia, followed by the news that Myles Garrett needs surgery and will miss a minimum of four weeks.

That now leaves head coach Sean McVay with unknown timelines for both Garrett and unretired defensive tackle Aaron Donald, leaving this defense with far less bite than anticipated.

Straight up, QB Matthew Stafford looked like he left his talents in America during the Australia game, and it’s worth questioning how much gas the 38-year-old quarterback has left in the tank.

Things aren’t getting easier over the next month either, with a game against the revamped New York Giants in Week 2, followed by back-to-back road games against the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Rams are then welcomed back home in Week 5 by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. L.A. could be sitting at 1-4 if McVay can’t get this offense going while the defense is shorthanded.

Stay away from trading the Rams to win right now. There’s a good chance we get a better price than the current 12% offered, and depending on how Stafford rebounds from Australia, you may want to stay away altogether.

📈 Who you should trade on instead

Ravens to win Super Bowl – Yes (8% at Kalshi)

I don’t know about you guys, but the Baltimore Ravens impressed me in Week 1. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry led Baltimore to 41 points on the road, piling up 506 total yards compared to just 251 from the Indianapolis Colts.

Who knows how Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes will look this season following their injuries. If neither can replicate their past success, that’s two fewer teams the Ravens have to worry about in the AFC.

The Buffalo Bills are also trading at 8% in the Super Bowl odds, but I’d rather back Baltimore because I trust in its defense more.
