New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson thrived during the team’s 27-14 victory over the New York Jets on Thursday night.
Henderson rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, catching five passes for 31 yards and a third score.
The 2025 second-round pick has now amassed five touchdowns over his past two games.
While Henderson’s recent tendency to find the end zone and his involvement in New England’s passing attack should make his trade value fairly high moving forward, there are still some questions surrounding his outlook for the rest of the season.
It’s worth noting that his recent success has come with starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson sidelined due to a toe injury. Stevenson was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday, and could return with extended time off before a Week 12 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 23.
In the eight games that Stevenson has played this year, Henderson was only on the field for 32.3 percent of New England’s offensive snaps (via Pro Football Reference).
Henderson could also struggle if he isn’t able to consistently score touchdowns, as he’s averaged below four yards per carry in two of his three starts this year despite his high volume of touches.
Fantasy managers should keep Henderson on their radar regarding a potential trade, but be wary of giving up too much to acquire him.
