Tanner McKee is back under center for the Eagles vs. the rival Cowboys on Monday Night Football. However, Jason Logan believes the gap in quarterback play isn’t as wide as it seems. Getting Saquon Barkley back also won’t hurt.

With quarterback Jalen Hurts sidelined with blood clots for the foreseeable future, backup Tanner McKee will be under center for a second week when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN at Lincoln Financial Field.
Oddsmakers have Philly as a 4.5-point underdog in Week 7. See the latest Cowboys-Eagles lines on Kalshi, where Dallas carries a 64% win probability. However, my Cowboys vs. Eagles prediction isn’t writing off the home team on MNF.
Here are my NFL picks for prime time on Oct. 26.
TOP Pick
Cowboys vs Eagles prediction: Eagles +4.5
It’s scary to bank on a backup QB, but Tanner McKee wasn’t terrible in his first start for the Philadelphia Eagles.
He passed for 215 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions in the loss to Carolina, despite missing plenty of pieces on offense. His cupboard won’t be as bare in Week 7, with star RB Saquon Barkley expected back.
Philadelphia might not need much to outgun a struggling Dallas Cowboys offense that has had the power cut over the last two weeks.
The Cowboys were a top-3 offense through the opening four games but have sputtered, scoring a combined 29 points in losses to Tampa Bay and Green Bay. Dallas can’t generate any momentum, going a combined 11-for-28 on third and fourth downs in those outings.
Although the offense used to be able to make up for Dallas’ dreadful defense, it seems like nothing is working for the Cowboys heading into MNF.
This is a terrible schedule spot for “America’s Team” as well, playing its second straight road game and third in four weeks, while making its fifth trip in the last five games when factoring in the Week 3 trip to Brazil.

Cowboys vs Eagles combo
The Eagles are discounted with a backup under center, but the dip from Hurts to McKee is not as big as the market believes. This spread is too hefty for a bad Dallas team to cover on the road in prime time.
George Pickens faces an Eagles secondary missing bodies, and with CeeDee Lamb drawing extra attention, the Dallas WR2 gets advantageous matchups – especially in man coverage. His TD forecasts sit as high as 42% for MNF.
Tanner McKee is another week better and gets some weapons back in Week 7. The Cowboys are giving up almost two passing TDs per game, and the price is right on the Eagles’ backup to reach that mark.
Cowboys vs Eagles combo
- Eagles +4.5
- George Pickens anytime touchdown
- Tanner McKee 2+ passing touchdowns

Cowboys vs Eagles touchdown scorer: George Pickens
The Cowboys want to get Pickens going early on as he’s struggled with slow starts. Nothing lights a fire under your ass like a touchdown.
Pickens has been one of the better one-on-one WRs during his career and faces a Fangio defense running man coverage at the 12th-highest rate. Given Lamb’s gravity, Pickens will draw plenty of single coverage.
The 6-foot-3 Pickens has been targeted six times in the red zone but has just three catches for one touchdown. However, in his last game against this defense, Pickens caught all nine passes his way for 146 yards and a touchdown in November 2025.
Touchdown forecasts for Pickens range from 20% to 40%, with my probability right on Pickens TD market price. For more touchdown props, see our NFL anytime touchdown picks for Week 7.
