Jon Jones responded to Daniel Cormier, just as his biggest rival had expected.
It’s been seven years since Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier last shared the UFC Octagon and the two fighting legends are still going at it.
The rivalry between Jones and Cormier reached its climax in 2017 when Jones closed their series out at 2-0, TKO’ing Cormier in their UFC 214 rematch with a head kick and punches to reclaim the UFC Light Heavyweight title he never lost to anyone.
Of course, the win has since been stripped from Jones’ record and overturned to a no-contest after Jones tested positive for the steroid Turinabol.
The retired Cormier recently called out Jones, saying how he didn’t ‘need to cheat’ because of his skills and natural gifts, including his unreal 84.5 inch reach.
Jones wasn’t too happy with these comments, nor was he with Cormier snubbing him from his MMA Mount Rushmore.

This week, Cormier caught his former foe’s attention with this sound bite.
“You don’t need to cheat,” Cormier said of Jones on Club Shay Shay (h/t: Championship Rounds).
“You got all that. Keep that. Use what you have…
“He always gets mad at me,” Cormier said of Jones.
“He’s gonna be on me now for this…
“Oh, I live [rent free]…” Cormier mocked Jones with a voice.
“The other day, he said he lived rent free in my house, in my brain, or something like that. I’m like, man… shut up. I don’t care about you,” Cormier added.
Jones responded to Cormier on Instagram.
“I didn’t say I lived at your house, even though I could if I really wanted to,” Jones wrote on Friday.
“I said I built a mansion in your head, rent free.
“If you want your story to shine, stop putting my name on the cover every month. Just a thought,” said Jones.
