Everyone loves to make fantasy football trades. Therefore, I’m here to give some early fantasy trade advice heading into Week 8. Let’s dive into some players you should buy or sell following this past week’s games.

Early Fantasy Football Trade Advice for Week 8
Players to Buy
Caleb Williams (QB – CHI)
While Williams had an outstanding fantasy matchup on Sunday, the former USC star set season lows in passing yards (172), touchdowns (zero), and fantasy points (4.7) as the Bears ran all over the New Orleans Saints. However, he had averaged 20.4 fantasy points per game entering the contest, totaling 19.9 or more in 60% of the matchups, including two of the past three outings. More importantly, Williams has an excellent upcoming schedule with matchups against the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings over the next month.
Derrick Henry (RB – BUF)
Unfortunately, Henry somewhat closed his buy-low trade window after totaling 122 rushing yards and 14 PPR fantasy points in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. The superstar had struggled before that performance, averaging 37 rushing yards and 7.5 fantasy points per game over the previous four contests. However, the Ravens are starting to get healthy, including Lamar Jackson, who should play following the team’s Week 7 bye. Furthermore, Henry has an appealing upcoming schedule, with matchups against the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins over the next two weeks.
Jordan Addison (WR – MIN)
Addison has been outstanding after serving a three-game suspension to start the season. The former USC star has averaged six receptions on 8.7 targets for 94.3 receiving yards and 17.4 PPR fantasy points per game in three contests, totaling 15.1 or more in every outing. He had his best fantasy performance this year on Sunday, leading Minnesota in receptions (nine), targets (12), receiving yards (128), and fantasy points (21.8) against the Philadelphia Eagles. Addison should remain a WR2 option for fantasy players even when J.J. McCarthy is back under center.
Dalton Kincaid (TE – BUF)
Buffalo struggled to throw the ball in Week 6, totaling a season-low 180 passing yards. Unfortunately, Kincaid missed that game because of an oblique injury, but he should be ready following the team’s Week 7 bye. The veteran was the TE2 over the first five weeks, averaging four receptions on 4.8 targets for 57.4 receiving yards, 0.6 touchdowns, and 13.3 PPR fantasy points per game. Meanwhile, Kincaid faces the Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the next month, three teams that struggle to defend tight ends.

Players to Sell
Trevor Lawrence (QB – JAC)
After struggling over the first month of the season, Lawrence has averaged 21 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks, totaling 17.6 or more in every contest. However, he has played poorly. The veteran completed only 47.9% of his pass attempts in London, totaling one touchdown. Furthermore, Lawrence has seen a decline in fantasy production in three consecutive games. While he could have a bounce-back performance against the Las Vegas Raiders following the bye, I would rather have Joe Flacco than Lawrence for the rest of the year.
Rhamondre Stevenson (RB – NE)
Fantasy players have grown frustrated with Stevenson. The veteran has three games with over 14.6 PPR fantasy points, including on Sunday. However, he has averaged only 4.1 fantasy points per game in the other four contests, scoring 5.1 or less in every outing. Stevenson took advantage of an excellent matchup against the Tennessee Titans, totaling 88 rushing yards and 16.8 fantasy points. Unfortunately, he faces an elite Cleveland Browns run defense next week. Sell high on Stevenson before the start of Week 8, especially with six teams on a bye.
Xavier Legette (WR – CAR)
Hopefully, fantasy players benched Tetairoa McMillan on Sunday because of the matchup against Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets, as the rookie had only 6.3 PPR fantasy points. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Legette set season highs in receptions (nine), targets (11), receiving yards (92), touchdowns (one), and fantasy points (24.2) against a Jets defense that has struggled to slow down opposing No. 2 wide receivers. By comparison, he averaged two receptions on five targets for 12.5 receiving yards and 4.8 fantasy points per game coming into Sunday’s matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers Tight Ends
Pat Freiermuth (28.1), Jonnu Smith (11.8), and Darnell Washington (9.2) each scored a touchdown and had over nine PPR fantasy points Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, Cincinnati is the worst team in the NFL at defending tight ends, giving up 17.8 fantasy points per game before the matchup against Pittsburgh. Furthermore, the tight ends saw an uptick in snaps and targets because of the injuries at wide receiver. Fantasy players who happen to have any of the three on their roster should sell high while they can.
