Snoop Dogg will be a game analyst on Peacock’s Los Angeles Clippers versus Golden State Warriors game on Monday, Jan. 5, sources briefed on the move told The Athletic.
Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., will call the game’s second half from courtside with Terry Gannon and Reggie Miller. Snoop will attend the pregame meetings and then observe the first half before putting on his headset.
Snoop and NBC (which owns Peacock) continue to expand their relationship after he received mostly strong reviews for his hosting work during last year’s Summer Olympics. He will also play a major role in NBC’s coverage of the Milan-Cortina Winter Games in February. Additionally, Gannon is scheduled to work as one of the hosts for NBC’s broadcast of the Opening Ceremonies.
On Christmas Day, Snoop will be featured on Netflix’s halftime show during the game between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. “Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party” will feature Lainey Wilson and EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, among others.
