The Super Bowl is not only the biggest sporting event in the United States every year, but it’s also arguably the biggest event, period.
Year after year, more people tune in to watch the game than any other television program. Sometimes, more people sit down to watch the halftime show than the game itself. In addition to viewership numbers, Americans also bet on the big game more than on any other sporting event. And we won’t even get into the sheer amounts of food and drink consumed throughout the day. Maybe someday, if we’re lucky, Super Bowl Sunday will even become an official national holiday.
