Let’s look at players who are overpriced fantasy football draft values based on My Fantasy League ADP for redraft leagues.
Overvalued Fantasy Football Players to Avoid on MFL
The 2025 NFL preseason is underway, meaning we’ve officially hit the start of redraft fantasy football season. Therefore, it’s time to do all the preparation fantasy players ignored over the past few months. Many factors go into fantasy players winning their redraft league every year. However, the top factor is arguably avoiding players that will bust or are overpriced.
C.J. Stroud (HOU) – QB13
Unfortunately, Stroud was one of the biggest busts in fantasy football last year. Many drafted him as a top-six quarterback after the Texans traded for Stefon Diggs. However, Stroud finished as the QB18, averaging 13 fantasy points per game, posting a lower average than Daniel Jones (13.5). Houston’s wide receiver core dealt with multiple injuries, while the offensive line was a disaster, giving up 49 sacks. Yet, Houston did very little to improve their offensive line this offseason. Stroud shouldn’t get drafted anywhere near the low-end QB1 range.
Breece Hall (NYJ) – RB12
Last year, Hall was an early first-round pick with massive expectations. Unfortunately, he finished as the RB16, averaging 15.1 PPR fantasy points per game. More importantly, his outlook for 2025 is far from ideal, making him overvalued at his RB12 ADP. Hall has never had more than five rushing touchdowns in a season, which likely won’t change with Justin Fields under center. Furthermore, the Jets seem determined to use a three-headed backfield, giving Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis snaps with the first-team offense in their Week 1 preseason game.
Jerry Jeudy (CLE) – WR21
While Jeudy is coming off the best season of his career, fantasy players should temper their expectations for the veteran in 2025. Last year, he was outstanding with Jameis Winston but struggled with every other quarterback. The veteran averaged 9.9 targets and 21.1 PPR fantasy points per game in the seven contests with Winston starting. By comparison, Jeudy averaged 7.6 targets and 9.3 fantasy points per game with every other quarterback. Unfortunately, Winston is in New York, and Cleveland has one of the worst quarterback units in the NFL.
Dallas Goedert (PHI) – TE11
Goedert has never been an elite option for fantasy players. The veteran has averaged 11.8 or fewer PPR fantasy points per game every year of his career. More importantly, Goedert averaged 5.2 targets per game last season, the second-lowest average of his career since his rookie year. The veteran tight end is the third option in a limited passing attack because of Saquon Barkley and the rushing game. Fantasy players should target a tight end with more upside, including Tucker Kraft, Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, and Dalton Kincaid over Goedert.
