World No. 1 ranked golfer, Scottie Scheffler, aims for a three-peat at the next PGA Tour event held at Muirfield Village Golf Club this week. It’s the 50th edition of the Memorial Tournament, a Signature Event with a cut line enforced, played on Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead’s difficult par-72 course.
Scheffler won by a four-stroke margin at -10-under-par last season for his second straight victory at “Jack’s Place.” While he’s strung together a slew of top-five finishes in his last few events, Scheffler will look to add just his second win in 2026 for a historic three-peat at Muirfield this week.
Muirfield plays just shy of 7,600 yards in length with over four-inch rough and bentgrass greens that run 5,000 square feet and average up to 13 feet via Stimpmeter. Approach play and around-the-green finesse are crucial to succeed here, while distance also remains critical to climb into contention on the leaderboard.
Aside from Scheffler, other betting favorites and highly priced golfers at this week’s Signature Event include Rory McIlroy, Cameron Young, Ludvig Åberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele, and Si Woo Kim. My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 Charles Schwab Challenge) had little success at Colonial Country Club. The lone bright spot was J.J. Spaun’s T6 finish in Tier 1.
We can only go up from Colonial. Let’s regroup and target six golfers to prioritize when building DraftKings and FanDuel lineups in DFS contests ahead of Round 1 teeing off at the Memorial Tournament on Thursday morning.

After a torrid pace, including two solo wins, a runner-up finish, and a co-win with his brother at the Zurich Classic, Matt Fitzpatrick cooled off a bit with T52-T14 finishes at the Truist Championship and PGA Championship.
He’s spent three weeks preparing for Memorial, where the Englishman has three top-10 finishes. Notable ranks include fourth in total strokes gained, including fourth in SG: Approach and total driving, and seventh for greens in regulation hit. It’s why Fitzpatrick spots top-10 marks in scoring average, par 4 scoring, and birdie average in 2026.
Si Woo Kim hasn’t disappointed in lineups for most of his starts this season. Kim failed to close out a win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson but still has plenty of production to tap into for DFS.
The South Korean ranks top-10 in total strokes gained. Kim is seventh in SG: Approach, second in driving accuracy, 24th in proximity, and 15th in putting average.

Alex Smalley enters Memorial with five straight top 20 finishes, including a top 10 in four of these events. The 29-year-old has yet to make the cut at Muirfield, but that should change this week.
Smalley ranks 17th in SG: Approach, 30th in SG: Putting, and top-10 for 200+ yard approach shots, proximity, and greens in regulation hit. Not good enough? It’s led to fourth on par 4 holes and eighth in scoring average, while pouring in over 4.1 birdies per round.
In Tier 2, at virtually the same salary, we’ve got Harris English. He’s flying a bit under the radar following his big 2025 season. The veteran is coming off a T12 finish at Muirfield last year, while recently posting a T18 finish at Aronimink during the PGA Championship.
Ranks 18th in SG: Putting, 30th in total strokes gained, and 25th in total driving. Any time a golfer is available at this price with a bunch of quality off-the-tee and putting metrics, I’m going to invest.

| Wyndham Clark |

$8,300 |
| Eric Cole |

Until his dominant final round to win the CJ Cup Byron Nelson a couple of weeks ago, Wyndham Clark was having a down year. Now, he’s still priced low, while ranked 24th in SG: Approach and eighth in putting average.
Eric Cole is trending up as well, despite a third career runner-up finish at Colonial on Sunday. The PGA Tour veteran has three top 10 finishes in his last four starts, while leading all golfers in putting average this season.
Clark and Cole are both big values in this Tier 3 range heading into the Memorial Tournament. Their putters are an asset, not a liability, which pairs nicely with strong irons. It makes me like their overall outlook even without a lot of historical success at Muirfield.
