This Week in Sports Trivia: December 4, 2025

Lane Kiffin’s move from Ole Miss to LSU created a firestorm across college football.

And that’s understandable when you piece together everything that’s happened. Consider the following:

• He left a team that was 11-1 and contending for a national title.
• He joined a rival program in the SEC.
• He said his players wanted him to finish out the season, but the school wouldn’t let him. However …
• … two of his players said he lied about that.
• He’s getting a massive payday at LSU, shortly after the Louisiana governor ripped the university for giving a massive payday to the previous coach.

It all added up to The Athletic’s Joe Rexrode writing that Kiffin is now college football’s “foremost villain.”
